17th/18th century Chinese porcelain Wucai design Famille Verte polychrome decorated porcelain dish, overall with central rondel of flowers and foliage surrounded by green Ruyi heads on a yellow ground, green and iron red foliate bands and iron red daiper , outer band of red, yellow and aubergine flower heads. Overall interspersed with panels of green enamel scrolling on an iron red cell ground. Reverse decorated with four iron red and green enamel floral sprigs with a red and green petal diaper around the channelled foot. Kangxi period. 36cm diameter approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
The body rings well, has various frits to glazes around the rim and similar frits/minor chips around inner foot rim. Auctioneers believe this to be period. Private vendor fresh to market.
